Web3 can help artists and companies manage music metadata: B2B music exec

Web3 features such as NFTs and blockchain-based systemization offer clarity and a new sense of accessibility to managing music metadata.

The music industry is not running away from its enthusiasm for choosing Web3 solutions. A variety of test cases ranging from the unchangeable dynamic password (NFT) that helps the artist associate with his community to the block chain being used to include the theme event ticketing center.

Another accomplishment of this approach that professionals are working on is how Web3-specific tools assist artists and companies in managing music metadata.

Cointelegraph interviewed Con Raso, CEO of Tuned Global, a B2B music software definition network service provider, to better understand the test case.

In the current Web2 music industry, many organizations focus on the regulation and approval of music metadata. Although there is a Web3 development design like NFT, which can identify everyone's application through the blockchain, database management problems are gradually brought into full play.

Raso argues that at this stage, metadata is given by a key identifier according to the national standard data transfer (DDEX)..This allows you to create XML documents that go beyond 200MB and contain information about promoters, artists, business services, and territorial control.

The establishment of a "total length" NFTs outside of the application is in progress. This allows them to include metadata, which can also be used and browsed on Web2 software.

"the vast majority of NFT established today are only for their own applications and cannot be used as streaming property. [complete NFT] brings more picture quality and control to how the artist manages his work.

However, Raso indicates that the Web3 file format is still in its infancy. Although the application of this new technology inevitably challenges the old system software, and creates the indoor space for the rapid development of the new system.

Another example of the new system is based on the requirements of the blockchain, under which all parties participating in the establishment and license will also be given a single home view of the record or content.

This may help to maintain efficient payments or report on metadata applications. The CEO indicated that it would be a slow choice of this innovation, but the driving force could be obtained from the edge of the field first.

"Europeans play a huge role in this segment, and because they often (not always) have good control over their videos, his work can promote this independent innovation."

He added, "whether it's a standard-setting department like DDEX or a new physical line, metadata standardization is a big bonus not only for the platform, but also for artists and users."

The main stars and minority stars in the music field are gradually entering the Web3 interior space. Although it will be harder for traditional well-known brands in the music industry to persuade them to change their ways, important participants such as Warner Music are now starting to innovate on their own.

Recently, MasterCard announced plans to launch the Web3 musician Network Accelerator program with Polygon.
