Web3, Metaverse, Socialism and capitalism

What are the good reasons why the metaverse and Web3 have become so controversial and polarizing

Whether metaverse became a reality or not, I won't discuss that here, in fact, they are just MMoGs (medium and large multiplayer online games) services, and the Metaverse and Web3 idea is an interesting and meaningful thought experiment. Here, I also published an article on how to view the metaverse as a metaphor, as an inevitable trend in human molecular biology and as a feature of sociocultural survival. Here we will view the concept of the metaverse and Web3 as an ongoing socio-cultural dispute between socialist society and capitalism.

There are also good reasons why the metaverse and Web3 are so divergent and polarized.

For hundreds of thousands of years, people have tried various forms of social development of organization. In today's society, everyone is most influenced by Western European ideas and capitalism. Socialism is called a dirty word, associated with communist society and wrong things. But this is too narrow a view to be debatable. What does all this have to do with the metaverse?

I, for one, do not believe that there will ever be a universal metacverse that humans can access, regardless of socioeconomic status. We still can't find a fair way to browse the Internet. Only Norway has Internet access as a people's right. Access to authoritarian films is restricted but subject to strict standards. Democracies are more open, but the digital gap is still widening. If the virtual universe does exist, the ideas articulated by its proponents will be better suited to some people who can afford to browse it. This is also the main reason why it is an idealized and cannot become a reality.

Proponents talk about NFT apps, blockchain technology, social media dynamic passwords and other systems that create equity and ensure everyone has access to assets. They come up with the best technological utopia or utopia. This was inherently flawed from the start. It's expensive to play in the metaverse today. We need fast Internet connections, a very powerful computer, preferably expensive VR goggles, and how to operate it all, and the ability to buy the online games and entertainment that are on offer there. Middle and low income groups can't play in this space.

Meta (Facebook), Roblox and Andreeson-Metaverse and Web3 concepts, such as venture capital firms like Horowitz, are essentially simple capitalism. That's right. Capitalism is good if done right. The same is true of democracy. But these companies and venture capital firms have no accountability. If he doesn't see a way to make a profit, they won't participate. Again, this is true.

Then all the other smaller companies and online communities were talking about the vision they could see for the metacomes and Web3. It's usually more socialist, with a little bit of capitalism mixed in. If a metaverse can exist, this idea may well prove to be for the best.

The Internet is a prime example of the tension between socialist society and capitalism as a business model. The same is true of the metaverse. In the current mode of thinking. It's great that governments around the world are increasingly committed to providing universal Internet connectivity. The digital gap comes, the price of connectivity and all the capabilities that the Internet has to offer. New programs offered by government departments generally represent relatively low speeds because they negotiate a lot of interest rates with network operators and ISPs, but if you want to connect to the Internet faster, you will need to pay the ISP/ network operator. More.

In addition to the centralized enterprise, proponents of the metaverse and idealists discuss the characteristics and aspirations of socialism that are easily identifiable. Equality of opportunity, laws and regulations/rules of the game, fair and equitable compensation, government procurement processes and experimentation. Capitalism tends to have a very clear system software that provides a key response to the system software. Make a profit. Again, this is perfectly true.

Today, metacomes and Web3 are often a debate about how different levels of society view humans replacing the actual middle. There are lots of mini fantasy worlds. As I always say, they're just renamed MMoGs today, and they're scattered. Web3 is touted as the answer to this thing, but even Web3's ideas are as messy, confusing, and unclear as the metaverse. it doesn't matter Web3 is still just a debate.

But metaverse and Web3 cannot exist without acknowledging the underlying centralized system that supports their work. People pay for the (and not very "green") energy of the power system, the laying of fibre-optic cables, wireless routers, big data centres, communications satellites and transmission costs. That's all.

If they want a truly open metaverse and a truly decentralized Web3, they need to operate through something substantially more independent than a corporate run. Regulators, perhaps? Maybe the United Nations? Maybe it's not a viable idea?

Even if metaverse didn't, Web3 became something else, and the point is, we're having this massive, basically global conversation about what this idea means for people. The Internet has influenced human civilization and society from the source, and is steadily changing social and cultural management systems around the world. Metaverse and Web3 are just the actual effects layer.

Cultural and social developments around the world are already pushing back against current capitalist rules and regulations. The cat has long since gone under the radar. It is grasping at the fabric of the entire world system and fighting for its life.

Discussing metaverse and Web3 is an argument between the old capitalist ideal and the new one that needs to be stronger and more comprehensive, but on a much larger scale. They are all diseases that are changing dramatically. It's going to be more chaotic. Humans are always blending in. This is what we do to survive. The Internet is the embodiment of human nature and our various traditional cultures. We embrace culture and art as tools for survival, just as other organisms use cell organisms.

We always have these arguments. We just have them again, but they are more technology-driven and at a higher scale than ever before.
