Senator Edward Markey and Representative Jared Huffman want miners to disclose emissions data and the EPA to lead an investigation of their impact.
Us Congressman Edward Markey and US Congressman Jared Hoffman announced on March 3 that they would once again clearly propose the "Natural Environment clarity Act on encrypted property" in Congress. The move comes before the House of Lords holds a hearing system on the environmental hazards of login password discovery, which Markey will organize on March 7.
Markey and Fisher introduced the bill for the first time in every Congress in December last year. Congressman Jeffrey Mockley is a co-sponsor of the House of Lords.
The bill would require encryption mining companies to disclose work emissions that consume more than 5MW power, while requiring the director of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to lead a collaborative departmental investigation of the impact of encryption mining in the United States. The study will have a budget of $5 million and a report will be released 18 months after the bill's success.
Markey lists 16 public organizations to which the Act applies, including the Sierra Club, Greenpeace and the National Anti-encryption Alliance. She said in a statement:
Infill mining is drawing a megawatt of power projects from our own public power grid and releasing soaring air pollutants so that they can make money for themselves. We should stop calling this industry rampant to our community.
Markey will soon organize a meeting of the subcommittee of the House of Lords Union on Environment and Public works on Environmental purification and Nuclear Safety. Markey said that the conference would "focus on severely cracking down on the ever-enriching impact of encryption on the surrounding environment and urgently need to be addressed."
Legislators from democratic parties such as Markey and Hoffman wrote in February to US Environmental Protection Agency Director Michael Clinton and Energy Secretary Jennifer Granhom, stipulating that his organization "work together to deal with the lack of information on encrypted energy use and environmental hazards." He also signed a letter to the Texas Electric Engineering Stability Association CEO to provide information about encrypted mining's energy use and environmental hazards in Texas. Congressman Elizabeth Warren is an important creator of these two letters.
