TRM Lab is an intelligent company of blockchain technology, which helps to test the risks related to blockchain technology of financial enterprises, encrypted local enterprises and government entities.

After the tornado cash sanctions, TRM Lab was regarded as one of the participants who participated in the verification of Uniswap and Aave and other service platform addresses. In an interview with the exclusive agent of CryptoSlate, Redbord said that TRM Lab learned that "tornado cash is different" in terms of OFAC sanctions.

Previously, the sanctioned entity lines were centralized, almost used for money laundering or other criminal purposes. However, Tornado Cash has legal compliance test cases, and the customer expects to clear the transaction visibility of the counterparty. A typical example is that an employee wants to pay his salary in an encrypted way instead of letting the employer see his wallet balance.

In an interview, Redbord made it clear that the key to TRM Lab is a high-tech company, and the elite team is rooted in Silicon Valley. It praises a future enterprise vision of blockchain technology, but its purpose is to promote convergence through efforts to remove bad characters from the current iteration and update of web3.

The company firmly believes that blockchain technology also generates diversity for everyone in the world, and at the same time recognizes that it is still an industry without identification, with important risks. TRM Lab's motto is: "Crypto's service commitment is too valuable. Don't let the risk out of control."

Ari Redbord, the person in charge of laws and regulations of TRM Laboratory, described the company as follows:

"We are managing compliance for encryption technology."

The company collaborates with law enforcement agencies, crypto local enterprises and traditional financial enterprises. TRM laboratory also cooperates with law enforcement agencies to track the liquidity of illegal funds, and cooperates with DeFi agreement, trading center and NFT foreign investors to supervise transactions and ensure normal operation of everything. Finally, the company worked with banks to help them choose encryption technology.

Redbord mentioned that although TRM has brought a variety of products to different types of institutions, its sanctions compliance management API is one of the best products.

Shortly after Russia was sanctioned by most countries in the world for invading Ukraine, TRM Lab established a data transmission API, listing the addresses of all sanctioned individuals to log in the wallet. They allow the application of small and medium-sized trading centers without large and medium-sized legal and regulatory teams. Most companies using this API use TRM information to decide whether to sanction others.

According to Redbord, this product has recently been selected as the top commodity, and its scope has expanded with the implementation of all available sanctions, as well as the restrictions on tornado cash. Redbold explained that TRM Lab implemented measures that contradicted the tornado cash restrictions:

"We can provide more and more coarse-grained data information, so that the company can make not only automatic management decisions, but also not just stop everyone being expelled from their homes."
