Sen. Elizabeth Warren and colleagues demand to see Binance’s balance sheets

Three United States senators have written a letter to the CEOs of Binance and Binance.US with a long list of objections to the companies’ perceived policies and actions.

Three US senators represented by Elizabeth Warren have written to BinanceCEO Zhao Changpeng and Binance. Us CEO Bobby Schroeder revealed some concerns about Binance-themed activities and asked these companies to provide information, including balance sheets, etc.

Warren's co-signatories who are skeptical about the login password are Democratic colleagues Charles Van Hollen and Poroshenko Sapo Marshall. They claim that there are data showing that these companies are trying to evade US regulators, evade the ban, make it easy to launder at least $10 billion, and lack clarity.

"A little information about the operation of Binance is available to the public, indicating that the trading platform is a seedbed for illegal financial activities," the senators wrote.

"your significant attempt to evade the implementation of anti-money laundering laws, securities laws, information reporting requirements and other financial regulations raises serious doubts about the reliability, reasonableness and legality of Binance and related physical objects, as well as your commitment to customer service."

Senators are required to provide documents or other information. At the top of the list is the "full balance sheet of Binance and Binance branches from 2017 to now". In addition, they are required to provide group books on compliance management and similar systems, relationship documents and other information between Binance and Binanc.US, and descriptions of various news reports. They gave the recipient two weeks to respond.

As this letter has been identified in the footnotes of 59 papers, Binance has always been the subject of high attention of the news media and a certain degree of negative speculation. CZ, a prolific Twitter user, personally responded to some of the reports. It was reported in February that the Binance was dealing with intractable oversight and law enforcement problems in the United States and was vulnerable to punishment.
