Nissan has recently filed four new Web3 trademarks for its Infiniti, Nismo and Nissan brands.
Nissan, a well-known Japanese car brand, has become a brand new automaker struggling to increase Web3-it has applied for four new registered trademarks related to Web3 in the United States-and its Japanese subsidiary has sold experimental cars in the virtual world.
According to Nissan's trademark application filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) on March 7, a new application includes Infiniti fx, Moltmore and Nissan brands.
Nissan plans to create markets for virtual clothing, cars, hats, buying and selling cards, small toys, entrance fees and irreplaceable dynamic passwords (NFT) to trade and produce NFT, according to documents filed with the US Patent and Trademark Office.
The company also outlined plans for virtual world advertising and other "entertainment services", including online video playback, images, handicrafts, ticket fees, audio, sound, songs and transaction cards, and a website that provides information about Nissan's proposed NFT and how it works.
According to the filing, the company is also prepared to "use software computer technology that cannot be downloaded as a digital wallet".
Try Nissan in the virtual world
Last week, on March 8th, Nissan announced that it was conducting a three-month "simulation experiment" on the virtual store "Nissan Hype Lab" to ensure "scientific research, information, test frame or purchase of Nissan cars" in the virtual world.
"in addition, we will scientifically study the probability of a new car sales model," the company wrote in a statement.
The internship period is from March 8 to June 30, and consumers can browse the virtual store for "24 hours" through personal computers or smartphones. Users can create their own customized avatars and can even interact with virtual salespeople for a certain amount of time.
According to the announcement, users can buy cars and negotiate an order contract through the offices of these virtual market sales companies.
Nissan still submitted five trademark applications to some of its more famous models in October 2022, including Skyline, Z and GTR.
At the time, Mike Kondoudis, a trademark lawyer, stated that the application for a well-known brand of the car explained the plans of the news media supported by NFT, the online NFT sales market, digital wallets, NFT coins, and transaction storage software.
Car bosses General purpose cars are also very proactive in processing applications related to NFT, whose latest trademark applications relate to its Chevrolet and Cadillac brands on Feb. 16.
In September 2022, Ford Motor Co., Ltd., a foreign automaker, submitted 19 trademark applications related to its core well-known automobile brands in order to get ready to enter the NFT and virtual world.
Despite the severe winter of login passwords and the stock market bear market, multinationals are still promoting trademark applications that include Web3, Crypto, NFT and Metverse.
According to Kondoudis, the total number of trademark applications for NFT, virtual world accounts and password products set a record in 2022.
