Sales of the most popular blue-chip NFT projects, BAYC and CryptoPunks, increased by 1m as the market recovered.
So far, 2023 seems to be a great year for the NFT market, as Cryptopunk has just gone on sale for 857ETH! Incredibly, the BoredapeyachtClub, to which this representative line of products is linked, reported sales worth more than $1 million in just 24 hours. This encouraging data reaffirms that many blockchain market industries are finally recovering from last year's bear market.
How did Cryptopunk sell for more than $1 million?
Web3 The world rejoiced as NFT trading finally improved significantly after the 2022 bear market. The new example was Cryptopunk#5066, which sold for 857ETH and represented nearly $1.5 million at the time.
Previously, the collection belonged to NFT whale Kevinrose, who is also the founder of Profcolective. As of this writing, the lucky customer remains anonymous.
Even so, BAYC won an impressive 800ETH market sale for BoredApeyachtclub#7090 this week. As such, it is also one of the rarest 70 NFT's in this series! Its owner, web3 investor Jim McNeils, sold it to a secret collector.

Is the NFT market back on track?
Back in 2022, NFT founders and collectors alike were deeply affected by the bear market - even though all NFT sectors exceeded $35 billion in 2021 and 2022. This year, volumes have soared.
For example, NFT's overall sales increased 38 percent in January alone, which translates to about $947 million. In addition, traders sold 42 percent more NFT than in previous months - an apparent significant increase.
Naturally, the improvement in trading activity was mainly due to a decline in newly released representative NFT projects.
