Cointelegraph studied parts of Dubai to understand how passwords and Web3 theory were integrated into some companies in the emirate.

Using digital currency to buy groceries

Day to Day, one of Dubai's most popular and affordable grocery chains, announced that it began accepting data encryption payments last year. The big mall is now accepting data encryption payments at his store and several chain stores across Dubai, local media Khaleej Times reported on Aug. 8.

Cointelegraph recently visited the Al Quoz branch and tried to use a password to buy groceries. But while the mall showed signs of accepting passwords everywhere, staff said the store could not buy a password and marked Cointelegraph to change it to an online store.

Although a subsidiary is not applicable, the good news is that password customers can still use passwords to buy things in online stores. The branch accepts BTC (BTC), Ethernet Square (ETH), Tether (USDT) and various other coins as payment methods for online orders.

Cointelegraph also contacted the official elite team of Day to Day shopping malls for his advice, but could not get a reply.

Luxury cars in the real world and the virtual world

Dubai attracts many people who need to taste luxury brands, and one of the hottest ways to feel luxury brands is to drive expensive cars safely. Cointelegraph visited a luxury car club in Dubai that found ways to use NFT and various Web3 technologies in its business.

A new luxury project called Elchai Group is bringing luxury cars to scattered neighborhoods through NFT. Maria Xenofontos, chief marketing officer of Elchai Group, told Cointelegraph,NFT that the owner of Cointelegraph,NFT would also automatically become a member of our car club, and that he would be able to rent exotic cars from Elchai's personal car collection. Xenofontos also explained:

Some password payment integration is not easy to continue.

In addition to Day to Day, other companies in Dubai announced the integration of various password payments last year, but they have not yet been applied. On March 3, 2022, the Indian restaurant Bukard Cafe announced that it would accept BTC payments. Nearly a year later, Cointelegraph visited the store to see if they still accepted BTC. According to employees, they only accept cash or bank credit cards.

On February 16, 2022, Dubai news media Time Out reported on a new online restaurant called Doge Burger, inspired by Dogecoin (Doge) and Shiba Inu (Shib) and dog-themed tokens. But when Cointelegraph tried to buy one of the hamburgers, the order information was not sent. A whole year later, the website of the project could not be opened.

In addition to the food business process, a popular school in Dubai also tried password payment, but basically withdrew it immediately. On February 9th, Binance announced that it would collaborate with the University of Canada in Dubai to complete data encryption payments in the university's internal structure. However, less than a day after the announcement, the university withdrew its decision to accept the password on the grounds of technical obstacles.

Although some projects are fraught with difficulties in password integration, Dubai's password field is still full of vitality.
