Cyber hackers responsible for the $196 million attack on Euler Finance are now transferring money to the login password switch valve Tornado Cash, just hours after offering a $1 million reward for uncovering the identity of cyber hackers.
On March 16th, blockchain technology analyst PeckShield tweeted that the exploiters behind the lightning loan attack on ethernet unmanaged loan contracts were "in practice".
The exploiter transferred to 1000 ETH, or $1.65 million, according to the approved login password switch valve Tornado Cash.
Just a few hours ago, Euler Labs said on Twitter that it would offer a $1 million reward for information conducive to the arrest of Euler agreement plunderers and the return of all the funds.
Just a day earlier, Euler sent an online message to the exploiter's address warning that if 90 per cent of the money was not repaid within 24 hours, Euler would offer a reward "resulting in his own arrest and return of all the funds".
The transfer of money to the login password switch valve is likely to show that cyber hackers have not been swayed by Euler's amnesty proposal.
Peckhild stressed that about 100 euros, worth $165202 at the time of writing, was sent to a wallet address, most likely owned by one of the victims. Earlier, the wallet address sent a chain message begging for cyber attacks to repay his "life savings".
This led some other victims to push messages to the detailed address in the hope that his funds could also be recovered.
One of the messages said that they "came from 26 families in laid-off rural areas" and that they had "lost a total of $1 million", adding that these people's sharing of funds in the protocol was "our life savings from working in factories in previous decades".
Another prominent victim sent a message to the marauders congratulating them on their "major victory" and saying that they had invested money in Euler and that they "urgently needed to solve" a house.
