Elon Musk says Web3 is a marketing buzzword... But that's the point!

The future of marketing is about community building rather than one-way advertising.

Web3: You either hate it or you love it. Elon Musk, the great judge of technology trends. [ElonMusk] doesn't feel like it's that popular. In December, she tweeted that it "now seems more like a marketing buzzword than reality."

But it's a key marketing promotion word. No one knows what Internet technology will look like in 10 years, but this much is certain. Web3 will massively update an industry I've been particularly interested in: Internet marketing.

For those of you living under the rock for the past few months, Web3 is an information service that operates on a blockchain and generally promises to share profits for users. Consumer brands - from customer crisps (Pringles) to Burberry - are joining the fray again via Visa- Irreplaceable Currency (NFT).

Consumer-facing businesses have been leading the way in using new sales channels, which not only shows me the way back and forth over the years, but also creates a sense of coincidence. When I was an intern at Coca-Cola in 2008, MySpace was the way to go, and we were even planning campaigns for black and white phones. Then at Spotify, you've seen the rise of social networking units and, more recently, digital signals.

Many things have changed in the past ten years. But not for one thing: high-cost budgets are still consumed by marketing, recommending products to potential customers on the same well-known service platform. Marketing is generally the largest expense in a company's income statement -- including those encouraged by venture capital.

Web3 marketing promotion

Web3 is all about shared ownership, ensuring that everyone feels they have a stake in the game, and that they still have real equity (currency) in their favorite new projects (whether DAO or new NFT projects) just like FwB. It's also a solution for marketers to treat people like passive consumers, more like fan participants.

This is the main reason why data encryption projects are growing without the spending of traditional marketing channels. In addition, if the new project goes well, there is hope of an accounting profit. This is different from the status quo; Companies reward consumers for sharing specific content with relatively highly human content... Hyper-targeted advertising. It's no secret that 84 percent of millennials distrust traditional advertising. We can do better.

Tomorrow, marketers will start building a small community of fans who are really engaged at the beginning. Don't promote expensive ads on Google search, Facebook, etc. Community has become a form of marketing that can help businesses grow organically.

"[Web3] is an opportunity for marketers to address people as passive consumers, more like fan participants."

Naturally, when it comes to community marketing, it's not a Web3 thing that just popped up -- it's been around for a long time. While some products gradually draw from communities (such as influencers who create audiences and then launch their cosmetics or fashion brands), others take communities as commodities. (OnDeck, Peanut, Coleap, and projects like Peloton and Patagonia are built closely around their products.

So far, the community has been riddled in many ways. Rewards include redemption of satisfaction points, and communication is very one-sided (" one-to-many "news delivery, not much interaction between community members, etc.). Web3 will create automatic door browsing based on the use of exclusive agent NFT, push airdrops to the most engaged enablers and envoys, and then successfully engage them in governance and business processes, changing this community marketing approach from the source.

Companies should think twice about bringing in a Web3 leader, at least temporarily in his sales department. The category is not only about abandoning the NFT, opening shops or offering data-encrypted payment options within the metacomes concept, but also about re-examining and repositioning the community's key relationships with customers.

Web3 opens up a new world of uncertainty for marketers to create, develop, and reward not consumers, but communities. I'm sure we'd be happy to see a reduction in superficial advertising campaigns.
