Binance Charity to provide over 30K Web3 scholarships in 2023

Among the education centers involved include colleges in Australia, Cyprus and Germany, Nigerian-based tech hub Utiva, Women in Tech, and two Ukrainian organizations.

Binance's charity, Binance Charity, will provide 30,65 academic scholarships to vocational students who are keen on the development trend of Web3 in 2023.

Binance Charity Scholarship Program (BCSP) will provide free Web3 security education and training courses, which will enable students skilled in technology to improve their skills without surmounting all unnecessary accounting obstacles. Binance Charity explained in an online article on January 20:

"We understand that digital education and skills development and design are beyond the reach of many people, which leads to the lack of diversity and outstanding talents in the blockchain market industry. The Binance Scholar Program has affected all this, including the tuition and course fees of some leading universities, colleges and vocational skills training service providers in the world."

The blog emphasizes that more than 82000 applicants are interested in becoming part of the next BCSP group, which is equivalent to about 37% of the acceptance rate.

The teaching partners involved include the universities in South Australia, the universities in Nicosia, Estonia, the Rome School of Business Management, Italy, and the Algerian Research Center Utiva.

The headquarters of the company, Simplon, Women In Tech, the core of free skills training in France, the Moscow IT cluster and the National Digital Transformation Department of Ukraine will also hold some activities of BCSP.

The Binance charity said that they cooperated with the Ukrainian department to help Belarusians who might lose their jobs due to the war with Russia.

The collaboration with Women In Tech will diligently study and train about 3000 women in rural areas of Brazil and Mexico to support future female entrepreneurs.

Binance charity will also be applied by the collaboration of Binance Academy (the company's non-profit blockchain education portal).

In 2022 alone, Binance Charity prepared more than 3.5 million US dollars, most of which were given in the form of Binance USD (BUSD), and assisted in supporting more than 290000 hours of Web3 security education and training courses.

Helen Hai, head of Binance Charity, said that her interest in this project is still increasing:

"The response to our Web3 education and training project is unprecedented, showing that so many people are obviously interested in learning blockchain, De-Fi, NFT, number, etc."

She added: "I have seen the interests of all kinds of people, mainly including a very large proportion of women [...] With more and more cultural and educational programs and shocking partners going on, we have never been as excited as we are now to build a more diverse Web3 global.".

Binance Charity has not determined when more than 30000 positions will be filled, and when each new scholar project will start.
