The Bakkt app, which brought together crypto tokens, loyalty points and gift cards, is expected to cease operations on March 16.
Digital assets platform Bakkt announced plans to shift the key to B2B technical solutions. The company said it would soon abandon its customer-facing app, which aims to enable users to use their digital assets in a variety of ways. This model, launched in March 2021, provides a user-friendly experience of bringing together a variety of digital assets, including digital currency, satisfaction score exchange and electronic gift cards.
Although its customer-facing application has been shut down, current Bakkt App customers can still browse their login passwords and cash through a new Internet-based platform that can be used from all devices. According to Bakkt, the customer can still check the balance of his login password account and get a trading report for tax purposes. The application is expected to be out of service on March 16.
Gavin Michael, CEO and CEO of Bakkt, articulated the company's commitment to providing the best solutions to its partners and customers, saying: "decommissioning this app ensures that people support the relationship between our partners and customers and their customers." He added that the company was focusing on its core solution, which is suitable for the consumer market and ready for rapid expansion.
The goal of Bakkt is to once again provide customers with data encryption and satisfaction based on the SaaS and API solutions in the security compliance platform.
Last November, Cointelegraph reported that Bakkt had agreed to recycle Apex Crypto for $200m. Endpoint data encryption is an integrated login password transaction delivery platform, which provides services to more than 5 million yuan customers according to more than 30 Internet financial partners. The recycling to be carried out further strengthens Bakot's B2B2C (business-to-business) development strategy and the basic goal of bringing data encrypted goods to a more comprehensive customer.
The integration of Apex Crypto into the Bakkt project is expected to improve the products of this digital currency enterprise and reach a wider audience through financial wealth management companies, trading platforms and new banks. This partnership aims to promote the development and innovation of login password products such as chips, money transfers and NFT, which in turn leads to Bakkt's increased profitability and diversity in expanding its services.
