Algodex reveals wallet infiltrated by ‘malicious’ actor as MyAlgo renews warning: Withdraw now

Crypto exchange Algodex and wallet provider MyAlgo have suffered security breaches in the last few weeks.

MyAlgo, the wallet provider at the company's headquarters in Algoran, again urged customers to withdraw his assets after a cyber security issue seemed unaddressed in February.

In addition, Algodex, a fragmented trading centre, indicated in a tweet that on 5 March, a malicious individual actor had entered a company's wallet, which seemed to be similar to what is happening at this stage in the Al-Goran ecosystem.

In a post on March 6, Algodex explained that a malicious artist had entered the company's wallet in the early morning of the previous day.

Algodex took precautions before the attack, including transferring most of its dollar coins (USDC) and local Algodex (ALGX) tokens to secure addresses.

However, the infiltrated wallet is bundled with Algodex's liquidity incentive program and undertakes to give extra liquidity to ALGX dynamic passwords.

Algodex said: "as a result, malicious network attacks can delete ALGO and ALGX from the established Tinyman pool and give extra liquidity to ALGX dynamic passwords."

The trading center stressed that the $25000 ALGX tokens allocated to give liquidity rewards were taken away, but said they would be exchanged in full.

It added that the total loss caused by the theft was less than $55000, but the liquidity of Algodex consumers and ALGX was not compromised.

In addition, MyAlgo, the wallet provider of the Algoran Internet, once again warned customers to acquire property as soon as possible and encrypt the data of the assets to the original account.

There have been several warnings since MyAlgo caused cyber security problems from February 19 to 21, causing about $9.2 million in damage.

On Feb. 27, MyAlgo's elite team warned on Twitter that there had been a purposeful attack on a group of high-profile MyAlgo accounts over the past week.

The wallet provider further said that the main reason why the wallet was hacked was not clear and supported that "everyone should take preventive measures to protect their property according to the transfer of funds or upgrading their accounts".

On the same day, Robert Field, technical director of the Algoran Foundation, a network governance organization, said on Twitter that about 25 accounts had been affected by the attack.

"this is not caused by the nature of the optimization algorithm protocol and SDK," he said.
